BARA-MED® Rectangular Multiplace Hyperbaric Chambers |
Safe and effective therapy & treatment
The ETC Models 6/2/3R and 12/2/3R are designed as 3 ATA chamber systems to provide safe and effective clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy. These chambers, including all subsystems, components, and ancillary support systems, are designed to meet or exceed stringent hyperbaric engineering design and fabrication standards for health care facilities as required by ASME PVHO-1 and the National Fire Protection Association standards for healthcare facilities (NFPA 99, Chapter 20).
Comfortable and familiar to patients
ETC has designed these chambers to be an extension of the hospital's clinical environment and has incorporated a variety of features to ensure their ease of use. The rectangular cross section means that chamber width and height are not restricted by each other. This shape is more comfortable and familiar to patients than a cylindrical vessel - it simply appears to be another room to them.
Convenient ingress and egress
In addition, the rectangular shape ensures a wide floor, providing patients with space to recline and elevate their legs while ensuring that staff has ample space to move around the chamber. The free internal height guarantees that patients and staff do not have to stoop or bend uncomfortably during the treatment process, and the large rectangular main entryway ensures that ingress and egress are convenient, even for hospital trolleys.
Quickly customize layout to suit patients
The easily configurable internal furnishings (i.e., seats and bunks) allow facility personnel to quickly customize chamber layout to suit the types of patients treated - from mobile outpatients who can walk into the chamber to critical care patients that must be wheeled into the chamber.
Accurate, reliable, and reproducible
ETC chambers utilize BARA-PRESS Hyperbaric Control Software on industrial grade computers to provide accurate, reliable, and reproducible treatment. An integral part of BARA-PRESS is SMOOTH·RIDE compression protocol. Independent research has shown that the SMOOTH·RIDE compression profile reduces complications with middle ear barotrauma, the most common problem in hyperbaric medicine, by two-thirds.¹
A manual pneumatic backup control system is also integrated.
As the user desires, ETC multiplace chambers can be outfitted to accommodate the patient monitoring and support options necessary to treat critical care patients. Specialized equipment, such as that for transfer under pressure, can also be provided.
